At Bay Area Bunnies, we strive for beautiful, well tempered, socialized buns that also would do well on the show table and are bred to arba standard. We hand raise our bunnies giving them plenty of enrichment and attention. We breed Lionheads and have a fun passion project for VM/ BEW. We find it important to educate new bunny owners/breeders on proper rabbit care and to give all the best tips to start their rabbit journey. It is very important for us to have our buns go to safe loving homes for them to live out the rest of their lives and or responsible reputable breeders. This being said we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Our babies will go to the homes of our choice and if we don’t feel it’s a fit then we will direct you elsewhere.
Our bunnies range anywhere from $150-$350. We judge our rabbits based off temperament, type, color, and status (show, brood, pet). Our pricing reflects not only the rabbit itself but all the time and money poured into that specific bunny. This isn’t a cheap hobby so our rabbits shouldn’t be either. Please note this before contacting us.
Since day one we have been handling each baby for just a few minutes at a time gradually increasing by week. This makes our bunnies used to human interaction so it’s not such a scary experience! Since day one we have been handling each baby for just a few minutes at a time gradually increasing by week. This makes our bunnies used to human interaction so it’s not such a scary experience! They also become familiar with a litterbox and although not 100% litter trained they get the concept down by pick up. We also promote socialization between our babies and different household items and pets! These include but are not limited to the vacuum, our dogs, children, etc. This really helps to limit potential stressers in their new home! Our babies are raised with love and care and we only want the best for them in their new environment <3
